star spangled

don't know if this is a rendition of abraham lincoln or abraham (my father in law). anyway it's hilarious

tante augure

back on 30 October we celebrated the 1st birthday of our young one brodie. a day full of paper tearing, sugar coated, finger licking goooodenss. he had no idea what the fuss was about but indulged and humoured his mum and dad with the family for the day. like every first child/grandchild he was spoiled senseless but he took it on the chin.

speaking of firsts (his uncle waza will love this) we took brodie to the pool for the first time for swimming lessons or as i like to see it DROWNING. strangely this act didn't seem to bother brodie and we spent more time in the adult pool in the deep end than interacting with the other kids.

another feature that has taken place is on the sunday before his birthday, we were at the shopping centre. while i was getting di the morning skinny, half fat, double choc with cream coffee, brodie decided to get off his chair and walk to me as if he had been doing it for years, sneaky bugger. not just a couple of steps but a good 20 meters navigating through the crowd. i think he has been practicing in his sleep so he is off and about now

does it get better

here we are managing to put away one of Australia's (now America's) finest. the one and only classic, "TIM TAM".

hands on

one of my favourite photos. we brought brodie a guitar the other day but when he got his hands on it he turned it around and tried to play it the other way. think we might have a leftie

new beginnings

on friday we (the family) inspected a house, put the required forms in and an hour later had a new house to move into.so we moved.we are on the rental for the last year while the house gets built but it's one storey and new. brodie can crawl around where he wants without giving his mum and dad a heart attack by performing cirqu de sole on the top of the stair bannister.

the friend in the fridge is over 20 weeks now and we have been led to beleive we are having a girl although they only ever give a 90% reading. it's a very cool thing to see the detail of the baby in 4D mode. Leigh if ya read this how is Janna going? by the by Leigh, when you guys are here there is a Paul Frank store here. i remember the love for frank. I will take some photos of the new place and show ya all

the choice of a new generation

it has been a while since i last posted but things have been out of control. i start with the plans of the new house. the land release which we,sneeky sneeky, have a deposit on has ben put back 3 weeks which is a pain but we have settled on the house we love and have that all picked and ready for when we can start building.

work has been flat out with the success of the major contract i have been working on for 3 months. the lads have managed to get a work 4wd bogged at the beach on the roster day off, turn up to work drunk and steal another company car with a laptop. happy dayz.

i think we have managed to get to the half way mark of the new baby. so things seemed to be looking a bit brighter but not out of the woods yet. my first fathers day was incredible. brodie cooked a mean breakfast. he followed that with a awesome present of when we were in queensland.

warren has got me stuck in hebrews 11 and 12. i have been amazed how God has opened thine eyes with further understanding about living, walking and PROCLAIMING my faith in God. it's a beauty.

the last is that brodie has punched 4 teeth (2 more on the way), crawled, says mum and dad, walked all aroung the house (strategically set up) and claps in a matter of a week.

black or red

not much has gone on this week but what little has i shall tell. some things that come to mind is we spent the weekend looking at display houses. so yes it looks like we are closer to building than buying. funny how when you sit down to see what is included in the $5 million you are paying you get nothing other than the shell. oh well. if the family likes the family shall have. on a more serious note we need continued prayer for the next little one. can't share the situation but pray that GOD'S will be done and give us the strength. cheers.

hoffin and coughin!!

in ode to leigh's love of the office and his love of the 80's this seems to marry up beautifully.the hoff is unbeleivable. either he completely loves himself and is oblivious to what the world thinks of him or he loves the fact that he makes millions on trashy tv(except baywatch-classy), music and acting and doen't care what the world thinks of him. either way ya love the hoff as much as the smokers cough.

c'est la vie true survivor

true sadness decended on our household with the passing of wilson. the goldfish who outwit, outplayed, outlasted and even outlived the 4 others that entered his kingdom for the last 2 and a half years. sadly as we went downstairs he had just enough for the final fin salute.
oh well time for a new wilson.

One small step for Brodie One giant leap for Us

Well i'm stoked to say the young man is able to say muma and daddy though it sounds close to Diddy without the "P". Sensing it may be a fluke or the over eagerness odf any parent with their first child i tested him and again and again and he passed with flying colours. Tis such a beautiful time to watch someone grow at a rapid rate and be crazy excited with each small step. I was selfish for too long.

Doctors with no sense

Matty J said...
What's been happeining this week. Firstly we had to go have a baby scan in the thought that we may have twins. turned out it was a no but a very big....? baby. Yes the doctor managed to spoil AGAIN the secret sex of our baby by telling us what it was. Not as if i can do it all again next week for a surprise. This takes months of preperation and cooking.

In the life of construction I am the operational manager of the company meaning that i am in charge of getting all the men out on site. This eats into the hours sometimes but gives us stability and close to home. Melbourne is quiet at the moment in the industry due to financial year but it's gradually picking up. The Lord has certainly blessed us.

Looking at houses so I will keep you posted on the things happening in that department. OOOOh how i love driving around looking at houses. NOT NOT NOT.

the cut.it'salways been..

Over the weekend i was "back on the tools" for the world of frizzy fro's and boring bob's. must say it was nice to be welcomed back to where it all started when arriving on the eastern front. Word got out and i was flat out like a headless chook the whole day. Also managed to score the weekend without the young one(s) for the first time ever. Just when i thought uninterrupted nights and sleep in's were gone, the Lord provided both.
Speaking or thinking of the young one, he has managed to pop through his first tooth. Yep it's a good one when he clamps down on my finger. We have been blessed where he "no complains" or if he does it's in greek(cypriat)so i no comprehend.
These are my thoughts and experiences at this moment

Random Thought: why was it always red leather yellow leather red leather yellow leather...

By the by I look forward to the photos of Leighthal where ever he may get them from.
